Bag of Frozen Corn, i knew it would come in handy for something

I tripped down the subway steps as I ran to catch a train this morning.

Note to self: don't run in the subway.

After spending 4 1/2 hours in the ER, I now am the proud owner of some crutches, an ace bandage and stuff that looks like batting for a quilt, a Velcro boot to wrap around the injured foot, and a prescription for an air cast.

Here's to severe sprains and my aching left foot/arch which is not used to doing double duty.

I'm wondering about my daily commute to work and how I'm going to manage the stairs... I'm thinking that NYC isn't too crutch friendly.

Happy Day, they finally figured it out

HP-92

I just heard the news! The seventh and final Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be spread out over two movies.

I'm so thankful that the writers finally wizened up and realized that if they tried to cram book 7 into one movie that we'd all revolt, take to the streets and begin rioting. (Well, maybe not that drastically, but you know what I mean.)

I just wish they would split up book 6 as well. Now I wonder if they'll do back to back releases, or if they'll make us wait a year like they did with LOTR.

Read about it here at Yahoo!
Here at Entertainment Weekly.
Or surf through Google News to your hearts content.

UPDATE: It looks like they'll be released six months apart.

Aquaplane, music

I've had a few technical difficulties since returning to the states, so I don't have any photos to share with you yet from the wedding or New Zealand. (Photos are fine, it's just my Mac and PC won't talk to each other no matter what I do. Yes, I've tried everything. I burned about 61 gigs worth of photos to DVD last night and have 16 more gigs to go ... photos will come at the end of the week and throughout the next. :)

So to keep you entertained while I do manual grunt-work, I give you a music video that I just discovered through Strobist. Photography is fabulous, and music is pretty darn good. Oh, and bonus, it's in French. Enjoy.
